Advice I would give to incoming students...

The biggest piece of advice I have is to not be afraid if you want to switch your major or are undecided about what you want to do. Throughout my first year I did not enjoy my classes in my program but once I switched I found a new love for learning. I wish I knew that failing is okay and it is good to push yourself and try new things.

Favourite Mount A memory (so far)...

My favourite memory at Mount A so far has to be Karaoke BBQ in first and second year. Singing and dancing with all your housemates has to be one of the most wholesome and exciting ways to kick off the year. In first year it is all a blur and you’re just trying to take it all in. In second year, I was lucky enough to be on Harper House Staff and led the cheers and dances. I will remember Karaoke BBQ for the rest of my life.

How have I changed since coming to Mount A...

I could easily write a paper about how I have changed but in short, I have become more well rounded as a person and much more educated about the world around me. I have learned better time management skills while balancing extracurriculars, social life, and academics on top of growing my people skills while being influenced by the wonderful people in this community.

My favourite thing to do in Sackville is...

For me and many other students, it is hard to pick a favourite thing to do in Sackville. I could easily say going out on the weekends, all the extracurricular activities that Mount A offers, or even exploring Sackville as a town. Although, because Mount A is a smaller school, it has to be spending time with friends you’ll make all across campus. Something as boring as going to the library can be so entertaining when you know lots of people there.
