My major piece of advice for incoming students is to try to talk to someone new at least once a week! Whether this be a prof or someone in your residence you've only briefly met before, everyone at Mount A is so kind and so interesting and there is so much you can learn from every single person here!
My favourite Mount A memory so far has got to be my first week back on campus after spending a semester abroad. It was SO nice to come back and realize that so many people I rarely speak to actually noticed I was gone and were happy to see me back on campus! I remember my roommate at the time asking me if I felt like a celebrity because every second person on campus would say "Omg Tori! You're back!" It really reminded me of the amazing benefits of a small school like Mount A, and the tight-knit community we have here.
I chose Mount A for two main reasons: the amazing programs here, and the distance from my hometown (far enough to feel like I am on my own, and close enough to easily visit)!
Find new places to watch the sun set! Lately I've been loving the way the sun sets over the buildings on bridge street; the way all the brick turns into this beautiful golden colour when the sun is setting is AMAZING!
