I chose Mount A because...

I wanted the chance to be independent and have a fresh start in a brand new place! The school was so highly praised and I was really drawn to the small class sizes and tight-knit community because I was coming from a relatively small high school.

Favourite Mount A memory (so far)...

Living in residence. Not only all the events that I got to put on and take part in but all the little things: playing house-wide sardines during reading week, tobogganing on garbage bags late at night, residence was so much fun!!

How have I changed since coming to Mount A...

I have really had a chance to grow and become more independent. In university you become responsible for your work and your grades and are watched much less closely so I’ve become more more responsible too. I think my confidence has also increased a lot and I’m more willing to put myself out there!

Advice I would give to incoming students...

Go out and explore Sackville and the surrounding area as much as possible. You’re able to do everything you need to without leaving campus so going and exploring everything Sackville offers is important and let’s you get to know the community even better. Also, join everything you want to! It can be intimidating joining a club/society if you don’t know anyone but you’ll find out so quickly how inviting and fun everyone is!
