was experiencing orientation week as a second year. I had the opportunity to lead the first year students as a residence assistant. This was so much fun for me because it felt like I was living my orientation week with them! In particular, waking the students up bright and early with airhorns and loud music sticks in my memory. It was such a blast helping my students have fun and help them find their friends!
is going to Waterfowl Park for an evening walk to destress, or as an early start to my day. On Saturday mornings I really enjoy walking through the Farmer’s Market to get some fresh produce.
I was a very quiet student and had difficulty socializing in new groups or in classes. The welcoming campus allowed me to reach beyond that barrier and I have become quite the opposite of quiet! I have had the opportunity to find where I thrive and learn in ways that suit me best.
