Be open to any possibilities. University is a different environment; you might come in with a particular plan in mind. However, don’t let that limit you from exploring other things. University gives you a certain freedom and independence, so make good use of it, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.
Afternoon solo saunters or with friends in Waterfowl Park, nearby trails, or just exploring the town’s outskirts. I love to end my long days with relaxing walks just to wind down and admire the breathtaking little sceneries and those east coast sunsets that nature offers!
Mount Allison reminds me so much of home! Growing up in a small town in the Northwest Territories, having a strong sense of community was important during those harsh winter seasons. When Mount A was brought to my attention, I quickly realized that I would love to go here, and I was not wrong. Both Mount A and Sackville were welcoming, engaging, and displays that close-knit setting that I was looking for.
I am definitely more confident of who I am now. Coming from a different and far away place came with disparities. Although, I have Mount Allison to thank for allowing me to improve myself both academically and socially.
