I wanted to attend a small university where I could form strong connections with my peers and professors. Before coming to Mount Allison, I toured larger universities but found myself feeling more like a number than an individual. When I visited Mount Allison, I quickly felt accepted. The small student population here makes it easier for you to have one-on-one time with professors, as well as meet others with shared interests.
I have grown to find new interests and have definitely become more secure in my identity. Mount Allison has a diverse student body, and a wide variety of clubs and societies as a result! These clubs are so welcoming, which makes trying out new activities easy. Joining plenty of clubs has allowed me to try new things and meet others with similar interests. This has helped me figure out what I am most passionate about, as well as become more confident in my values and identity.
study on the patio at Black Duck Cafe! This coffee shop is my favourite place to be. They have terrific coffee and baked goods, and a beautiful garden to sit in and get some work done. You can also buy the produce they grow in the shop next door!
