I am so much more invested in interdisciplinary thinking and problem-solving. Attending a university that encourages you to take courses outside of your main field of study allows you to understand new perspectives and build a diverse set of analytical skills.
study at Cranewood!
I graduated from Mount Allison in 2019 with a B.Sc in biology and a minor in biochemistry. I then moved to Edmonton, AB, to complete a Master of Science in Health Policy Research at the University of Alberta. While there, I met many public health researchers who combined their interest in both human and animal health through a DVM program; this inspired me to apply to my current position at the University of Calgary. All of these opportunities have come from my experiences gained while at Mount A; as a previous residence assistant, teaching assistant, research assistant, and bartender at The Pond, I am always happy to chat about all things Mountie.
