Campus Ambassador at Mount Allison University
She/her/hers
Class of 2024
Hometown: New Brunswick, Canada
Major: MSc Biology
I really suggest not only immersing yourself in campus life, but also immerse yourself in Sackville events. There is so much to do in a small town and there are lots of festivals that go on throughout the year like Midnight Madness, Fall Fair, and Winterfest. Academically, I seriously suggest you get to know your profs. They truly do want you to succeed, and will always match you in the amount of effort you put into their courses. I know they can seem scary, but I promise they want the best for you!
One of my favourite memories was actually in my weakest class: Physics. I did not have a strong physics background coming here, and felt really behind. In that class though, we had small assigned groups, and became friends with one of my group members. We worked together to get through the class, and he eventually become one of my best friends, and my eventual roommate which led to most of my other favourite memories here at MtA :)
I chose MtA because I have always thrived in small communities and really appreciate how close knit the community can be. I also chose MtA because of their small class sizes in upper years, impressive student:faculty ratio, and the ability to get to know your professors. It worked, because I completed my BSc here, and still decided to stick around for my MSc!
