Campus Ambassador at Mount Allison University

Class of 2023
Hometown: Saint John, Antigua and Barbuda
Major: Aviation
Minor: Economics
The aviation program allows me to attain a Bachelor of Science degree and my pilot's license. This is the best of both worlds if you ask me! Since Mount A is in Sackville, which is a small close-knit community, it incorporates that the small community sense into the classroom. Mount A is famous for its small class sizes, where no student will ever feel like just a number. Your profs will take the time out to get to know you by name, they will ensure that they provide you with the keys to success, both in and outside the classroom!
Going down to Nabi Sushi, formerly known as Downtown Diner, on Bridge Street. I like the new name because they make the best sushi in New Brunswick, hands down! I love going there with my friends on the weekend. It's a great place to unwind.
Since attending Mount A in Fall 2019 to now, I am extremely proud of the person I have become. Living on your own, without your mom and dad, can be intimidating at first, but it allows you to attain important skills, such as the importance of decision making and time management. You also develop long-lasting connections with friends!
Don't be afraid to reach out for help! If you have any problems with your courses, shoot your profs an email or visit them during office hours! Your profs only want to see you shine, but you must reach out to get help! Mount A has so many academic resources, such as the Math Help Centre, the Writing Help Centre, the Research Desk and many more! Ensure that you attend orientation week- this is where you will meet so many amazing people from all over the world. I met my best friend there, and I'm sure you will too!
