How have I changed since coming to Mount A...

when I first came to MtA I was so scared to put myself out there and try new things… now I’ve tried SO many new things and am always looking to try more! I discovered an unexpected in sports medicine with my work on the football team, and a surprising interest in statistics after a conversation with my prof; both things I never would have taken the initiative to do if not for the confidence that MtA has given me.

My favourite thing to do in Sackville is...

explore all the coffee shops in town! I can reliably be found with a coffee in my hand, bought from one of the cute artisanal Sackville coffee shops (Aida’s pumpkin spice latte is to DIE for). The café’s all have beautiful study spaces as well, and there’s nothing I love more than to go with a couple friends, get lunch (and a coffee of course), and spend the afternoon studying together.

I chose Mount A because...

I wanted to go to a smaller school where I’d be a name, and not just a number. I came and did a tour a couple months before I graduated, and while at the time I’d been stuck deciding between a couple of schools, within the first five minutes of my tour, I knew MtA was where I was meant to be. I fell in love with the feeling of family and community on campus; there’s nothing better than walking across campus and seeing tons of people you know waving and saying hi to you… at MtA you truly feel like you belong. I travelled across our big country for this school and haven’t looked back once!

Favourite Mount A memory (so far)...

There are honestly so many to pick from, but some of my favourite memories are from when I was living in residence, and my friend and I all had online classes! We'd sit in the lounges join our classes together - it made it feel like a normal year, even though we weren't in the classroom. Plus, it brought us all closer together!
