So! You’ve graduated high school, you’re a couple weeks (or maybe more) into summer vacation, and you’re starting to look ahead to your time at Mount Allison. You’ve accepted your offer of admission (if you haven’t, drop everything and go do that RIGHT NOW!), you’ve been given your residence room (or maybe you’re waiting for it… it’ll come soon!), and you’ve signed up for your courses (if you haven’t, again, drop everything and go do that right now!).  

But… what’s next? The summer before you go to university is a strange one. You might be sad high school is over, excited for university, terrified for university, happy high school is over, or a mixture of all the above (plus more!). These are COMPLETELY valid emotions, and I experienced them all before moving across the country for my first year at Mount Allison.  

I’ll introduce myself super quickly: my name is Alix Corwin and I’m your 2022-23 University Orientation Chair. What does this mean? It means that over the past couple months I’ve been working hard to plan your University Orientation: also known as O-week! You can look forward to so many fun and engaging activities, all planned with the goal of helping you to gain the tools and confidence you need to thrive here at Mount Allison.  

While O-week might be the finale we’re all looking forward to, there’s also going to be tons of awesome content posted on the Orientation Instagram account over the summer, to give you exclusive behind the scenes footage (insert cheering sounds here!!). Takeovers, countdowns, giveaways, vlogs, dance breaks, blog posts, and so much more will ALL be featured on the Orientation Instagram account: @mta.orientation. So, make sure you go give us a follow!
