With classes being mostly online this semester, it can be challenging to spend what feels like every waking moment in your residence room, apartment, or house. Because of this, it can be hard to feel motivated to get off tik tok, get out of bed, and get started with your day. With that being said, there might be small things in your living (and studying) environment that are impacting your ability to be productive without you even realizing!
Here are 10 tips that can help you reduce anxiety in your environment. These are small tasks that are not time consuming and will put you in a clearer mindset to be able to regain productivity!
- Do your dishes
- Clean out and organize your closet
- Play music
- Make your bed
- Open your windows or go outside and breathe
- Hang photos and affirmations that make you feel happy, calm, and supported
- Make sure that your environment is a comfortable temperature
- Light candles or incense
- Keep water and snacks nearby
- Limit your time on social media
