The Best Study Breaks on Campus

Although studying for classes is extremely important, it is equally important to take breaks from studying to avoid academic burnout and be cautious of your mental health. Even in a small town like Sackville, there are plenty of things to do when taking a break from your studies. Here are some of my favourites:
- Sporting Events: One of my favourite things to do when I am tired of doing schoolwork is to attend any sporting event that may be going on that day. I have always loved school spirit, so I try to make it to as many sporting events as possible.
- Fitness Centre: Another thing that I always use as a study break that also helps my mental health is going to the gym. Our fitness centre has everything you would typically need for a good workout, and it is located in the Wallace McCain Student Centre.
- The Pond: The Pond is our campus bar, but it is also used to host many events each year. One of my favourite activities is Thursday wing nights, where you can take a break from studying to socialize with friends while enjoying the delicious wings they serve. The Pond also hosts events for different committees and organizations and is used as the perfect location for fundraisers.
- Jennings: When I lived in residence, whenever I wasn’t studying, I was often at Jennings dining hall. Even if I wasn’t there to get food, it worked as a great space to spend time with friends after class.
