Hellooo and welcome back to another round of Orientation Committee (O-comm) introductions. Be sure to catch up on our past introductions of the Logistics and Spirit subcommittees. Today, let’s meet another group of amazing volunteers behind the scenes – meet the Health & Wellness subcommittee! 

Mihya (she/her) 

  • Hometown: Saint John, New Brunswick 
  • Year: 4 
  • Program: BSc Psychology and Geography 
  • Why you love MtAMtA has become a home away from home and introduced me to most amazing people and given me so many new experiences and memories! 

Ca (she/they) 

  • Hometown: Moncton, New Brunswick 
  • Year: 2 
  • Program: Biochemistry 
  • Advice for incoming students: Don’t be scared to ask for advice from older students and instructors. Everyone is super friendly and can’t wait to help you! 

Samantha (she/her/elle) 

  • Hometown: WolfvilleNova Scotia 
  • Year: 4 
  • Program: Biology 
  • Why you love MtAThere are lots of opportunities to expand your learning with independent research projects! 

Abigail (she/her) 

  • Hometown: Tide Head, New Brunswick 
  • Year: 3 
  • Program: BA, English major, double minor in French and Classics 
  • Advice for incoming students: Participate in as many activities as you are comfortable doing! You will meet so many new people whether it be in residence, in your orientation group, on a sports team, in a club or just by walking around campus. By participating in various activities, you might just meet your best friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. 

Kate (she/her) 

  • Hometown: Truro, Nova Scotia
  • Year: 3 
  • Program: Bachelor of Arts with a triple minor in English, French, and Political Science 
  • Favourite place in Sackville: There are so many, here are my top three; Waterfowl Park to go on walks with friends and take pictures during all the different seasons, Song's Chopsticks to get sushi after stressful week of classes, and Black Duck to go and study with friends.
