After an Undergrad

It is a huge accomplishment to get accepted to university and experience all it has to offer. At any point in time during your educational journey, you may ask yourself, what am I going to do after my bachelor's degree? During my final year here at Mount Allison, I have no idea where I will be next year.
I have taken random elective courses to fulfill my degree requirements, leaving me lacking required classes for grad school. I highly recommend keeping your career goal in mind to ensure that you have the correct courses. As always, attending grad school is not for everyone and is not necessary! Your bachelors may have included everything you need to continue with your career path. Even if you finish and you realize you may have chosen the wrong degree and want to study something else, go for it! Unfortunately, it will involve more time and money. But, the ideal outcome is for you to be happy with your everyday life, especially within your job.
Finally, if you are not ready to get out there, it is okay to take some time off! Figure things out and revaluate your goals. The career path I thought I wanted coming into first year has completely changed, and I am okay with that. Never worry about what others will think about your decisions. Stay mindful of your opportunities and possibilities! We are all working so hard to be where we are, and eventually, we will get to where we want to be.
